Performance Company

UMDA Performance Company is by audition only and is intended for the serious dancer who wishes to attend dance competitions and perform throughout the community.  Company members will take individual technique classes in all disciplines as well as attend scheduled rehearsals for competitions and community performances. Pre-Company is designed for dancers ages 6 & up who love to dance and want to take their classes to the next level. Dancer’s will enroll in two classes for the school year (Pre-Company & Ballet) and will work on ballet, jazz, and contemporary technique in a fast-paced class environment. Additional Acro and Hip-Hop classes are recommended but not required. Elements of strength and conditioning as well as flexibility will be worked on each week along with choreography for upcoming performances.  Dancers will learn a competition piece and dance in 1 or 2 local competitions, as well as participate in the UMDA Winter Ballet.  An audition is required for Pre-Company.  Dancers must have at least 2 years of previous dance training.
